After the beautiful late summer days in my homeland Albania I have to get used to the German autumn. But, autumn brings a lot of cultural events which are a compensation for the grey days.
I reported here a few weeks ago about the launch of the retrospective of the deceased Brazilian artist Hélio Oiticica at the Frankfurt Palmengarten. Last Friday, the full retrospective was opened at the Frankfurt Museum of Modern Art (MMK) and I was there again.
The active involvement of the viewer was fundamental to the oeuvre of Hélio Oiticica. This was a very revolutionary idea in the 60s. Thus, the visitor could sit at the piano and play, take off the shoes and walk in the sand of a beach art installation or try on the colourful ponchos hanging on a clothes rack in front of a large mirror. I enjoyed it a lot to become part of the exhibition works.

Two of my all time favourite garments, my dark brown Prada dress and Valentino high heels matched very well the exhibition poncho. They could be some kind of artworks as well, couldn’t they? 🙂
Looking forward to the posts about my stay in Albania and wish you a good start of the week!
